“The property was quite nice with good facilities there were parts of the property that could have been a lot cleaner the living room rug was filthy and Generally the carpets were quite dirty and when I removed the bin liners the bins were really dirty.”

The outside passage way to the back yard was needed a good sweeping and swilled.

“Alnholme is ideally situated right next to the Post Office in the heart of Alnmouth.”

A stones throw from all local amenities and a few minutes walk to the Beach, it is clean, cosy and well equipt with just about everything you could think you would need. There's a delightful shared outside space which is a great sun trap and comes with a BBQ. The property has been decorated to a very high standard and the artwork is stunning. A very pleasant stay was had by all and we will most certainly be back.

Decoration with fine paintings by the owner gives it the extra personal touch. Lovely views, especially from the upper bedrooms. Very spacious for two people.

Great quiet location in centre of village. Sea views from all rooms above ground floor. We visited just after the Beast of the East struck but were cosy and warm in front of the log burner.

“Beautiful light home from home.”

Excellent kitchen with all the cooking paraphernalia required. Comfy cosy lounge for family relaxation. Ideal for multi generation holiday due to three floors. Lovely view from upstairs double bed, ideal with a morning cuppa. Everything on our doorstop, beaches, pubs and great store at the post office. Able to park outside to unload which was a great help.

This spacious cottage is well equipped with contemporary furnishings and a relaxing neutral colour scheme.

There are lovely sea views from the first and second floor windows and the property is recommended for its attractive light and airy rooms and central location in the heart of the village, a short walk to all local amenities, beach and golf course. GROUND FLOOR Entrance hall. Bedroom 1 with king size four poster bed. Bathroom with bath, hand shower, WC and basin.

Washing machine. FIRST FLOOR Kitchen/dining room with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and sea views. Lounge with log burning stove, TV/DVD and sea view. SECOND FLOOR Bedroom 2 with double bed and great sea views. Bedroom 3 with twin beds (low level window for fire escape). Shower room with shower cubicle, WC and basin.

OTHER FACILITIES Shared access to courtyard with facilities for outdoor eating and seating.

Gas central heating.

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants.
