“The only reason this isn't a five star is because to get into the garden you have to go out of the front door, walk around to the back of the property onto the track and open a gate.”
This means no eating of breakfast in your pyjamas outside without putting a coat and shoes on, and quite majorly, letting the dog out to do her business in the night when needed involved a lot of faff too as we couldn't just open a back door, we had to get shoes and a coat on and go outside with her. We absolutely LOVED the cottage itself, it's beautifully decorated, there's a huge TV, the wifi and all other connections was the strongest signal you can get and there's always hot water for baths and showers. In fact, the bath is the most comfortable one we've ever found on holiday. The owners are really helpful, there are baby bunnies and hares bobbing about outside along with chickens, and the location is wonderfully hidden away whilst still being close to Alnmouth. You really can't go wrong so far as the cottage itself and its location. But we'd only go back if access to the garden from inside the cottage was sorted out. We appreciate that might not be financially possible though, and if you haven't got dogs and don't mind the detour to the picnic table you'd absolutely love it too.
Thank you for your feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Sorry that the layout didn’t completely meet your needs on this occasion.
