The property

Resting near the coast in Amble, Northumberland is this charming, mid-terrace cottage of Coras House.

The wonderful abode is a superb base for a family of five wanting to make the most of Northumberland's idyllic coastline.

Make your way inside to find a pleasant living/dining room and be enveloped by the warmth of the electric fire; switch on the Smart TV and cosy up on the sofa for the evening.

When you're feeling a little peckish, progress through the property to the kitchen, a space enjoying grey, shaker-style cabinets that offer an array of appliances that will make any self-catering stay a breeze!

When dinner has been enjoyed, take it over to the neighbouring, fold-leaf dining table and crack open a bottle of wine to toast to this seaside escape!

As the day comes to an end, climb the stairs to find two well-appointed bedrooms, with one hosting a triple bunk, a double with single over, that enjoys a nautical theme, and the other being a double that features pretty touches.

Nearby is a brilliant shower room that enjoys metro tiling and contemporary facilities, including a spacious, glass shower and a countertop basin.

Being a short distance from Amble's high street means you've got all your amenities at your feet, including several eateries and shops.

Amble is also home to a delightful harbour, where you can spend some time boat-spotting, before wandering down to the beach and marina for some fun in the sun; the town isn't far from the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, meaning ample beaches, footpaths and cycleways are just moments away!

Why not pay the village of Warkworth a visit, with its medieval castle ruins providing entertaining, audio tours and the winding River Coquet offering a quaint, riverside footpath, where you can spot the fascinating landmark of Warkworth Hermitage on a stroll.

For even more coastal fun, travel a little further afield to Seahouses, a large village offering boat tours to the enchanting Farne Islands, guided walks around the village where you can learn of the area's history and The Bunker, an amusement centre that is bound to entertain the little ones!

There are many settlements waiting to be explored in Northumberland such as Morpeth, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Alnmouth, just to name a few, whilst the Northumberland National Park can also be reached, with its abundance of outdoors activities.

Treat yourself and loved ones to a memorable break at Coras House.

About the location

AMBLE

Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
