We booked as a party of four, two adult and two 17 year olds. On arrival the house was presented well and very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, I would have liked more mugs, but only thing I could literally moan about, there isn't really much of a garden but we knew this beforehand and the beach is a 10 minute walk and the green 2 mins so not an issue, we went to the local pubs most evenings all really nice, The Middle Inn the cheaper one for food but fabulous food. Bamburgh is extremely dog friendly I was super impressed by this, beaches dog friendly and locals seemed super nice, would visit again such a lovely house and coastline so much to see and do here.

Castlewood, located in the heart of Bamburgh is a superb family holiday cottage that has undergone major works to now offer modern, comfortable accommodation throughout together with solid oak doors, an oak staircase and laminate flooring throughout the ground floor.
With parking for 2 cars, Castlewood is the perfect property for families or friends wanting to be within walking distance of all the wonderful facilities the village of Bamburgh has to offer without worrying where to park the car.
Two dogs are also welcome at Castlewood. ACCOMMODATION GROUND FLOOR Entrance hall with cloaks cupboard. The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
