Joanna “Overall we enjoyed our stay.”
Host was very pleasant and approachable. There are a few details we feel should be added to listing. There are a lot of stairs as the property is split over four floors not three as is stated in the listing. The property is not the entire house but an extension on the side. The garden is shared with two other properties. Cot and dining room table were broken. Table was held together with gaffer tape. The wifi is patchy and can't be relied on.

Thank you for your feedback which we always appreciate as this enables us to prepare for our next guest. As I mentioned on earlier feedback, we would hope all our guests inform us either during their stay or on departure if they come across any issues as these can normally be a quick fix, the cot & dining table for an example. We were saddened to read of these breakages when you arrived at our house, however we’ve since replaced & repaired, thank you for bringing these to attention. Smaller villages in North Northumberland have not had the privilege of Fibre Optic Broadband until recently, we are now lucky to be able to access not just one but at least three big names in providers. We have always been very honest on how we believe the property is not suitable for guests with mobility issues due the number of floors and stairs to access, along with stating it does adjoin our home. On reading your feedback we have made a tweak on the garden being 'shared’. Our guests when booking with a few generations enjoy the privacy of two properties but can come together in the outside shared space. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

About the location
BAMBURGH
Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.
The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
Note: Steep stairs are not suitable for those with mobility issues
