“This was a long overdue visit to the east coast, but a real joy - even the weather joined in!”
Having driven over from the west coast I didn't need to drive again till the return home.
The village is served by a bus - 418 and x18 that goes from Newcastle to Berwick and even though I forgot my bus pass it was easily affordable with a £2 max. per trip or a day trip ticket at £6.70.
From the bungalow to the beach was 2 mins over a dune and Beadnell Bay beach, along with many others, is just amazing. The sand is firm and you can walk to the rocks at the far end in about an hour when the tide is fairly well in. The only thing to be wary of is the lack of shops. There is a small shop but, fortunately, I called at Alnick to food shop for the week. I'm sure there were places to eat and drink but I didn't look for them, happy to return to the Paddock where I could relax with my meal.
I had a great time and hope you do to
