Very comfortable and spacious, fully equipped kitchen and ample parking spaces. Comfortable beds and good showers. Would definitely rebook when visiting this beautiful part of Northumbria.

“A nice quiet property.”

We had some issues regarding some of the rooms - wardrobe off the runners in main bedroom (had been mentioned by previous visitors), broken cistern in en suite, temporary repair made pending new parts, leaking kitchen tap ( to be repaired at the same time as the toilet cistern). Electric plugs showed next review for November 2023! Maybe we were unlucky but more attention needed. Sykes were vey good at trying to deal with the issues.

I’m so sorry to hear you had a few issues during your stay at Polished Pebble. I hope it didn’t spoil your holiday too much. We have known about the toilet Cistern in the en- suite bedroom but unfortunately due to the property been fully booked we were arranging to change the Cistern altogether as soon as it was free. The kitchen tap is something that’s out of our hands and could happen at anytime to anyone. But I’m sorry it happened and glad Sykes got it sorted for you. The bedroom wardrobe doors can come off the rails if used with force but should easily go back on. The Pat testing will be done this Friday 13th September. Again I’m sorry you had these issues, they will all be sorted ASAP and I hope they won’t stop you from returning in the future. Property Owner

“Stunning property in a fantastic location.”

The decor was amazing with great attention to detail. The listing stated that there was a bbq but we never found it, and an outside tap/hose would have been massively beneficial for washing off sandy sandy wetsuits and equipment, but apart from that the cottage had everything we needed and we totally loved it!

“Excellent property well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.”

Very nicely decorated and lots of space. Set in a very quiet neighbourhood in the centre of Beadnell. Only improvement we would suggest is the quality of the pillows supplied- with everything else being so good these were a little bit tired and uncomfortable in comparison.

“We've stayed in Beadnell and the surrounding areas many times, over the last 20 years.”

We all felt that Polished Pebble is one of the nicest places we've stayed in during that time. It has a lovely open plan yet cozy and comfortable vibe to it. The decoration and furnishings are lovely, and the owner has clearly put a lot of effort into their property. I just hope that everyone else who stays there, continues to look after it as we did! The cul-de-suc is such a peaceful little spot, it made for a great break from the daily grind to recharge the batteries.

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
