“A lovely cosy rustic cottage, esp with the woodburner going.”

The view is amazing! Access was ok for us but wouldn’t suit wheelchair users or anyone not keen on stone steps. Clean inside, with a wet room & hot shower. Kitchen has dishwasher & washing machine, fairly new. Also a microwave (less new). Picnic tables & bbq area (a bit neglected but quite sound). Pleasant garden but it has a drop into the next field, so elderly or excitable dogs need supervision. Rest of garden is enclosed & nicely managed. About the location

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
