“We have stayed in another Sykes “Luxury” property which was, this cottage is not Luxury.”

It is however rustic in a stunning location. Arriving in the dark on a cold November evening to a cold cottage with a damp smelling bedroom was not the best start. It is however rustic in a stunning location. Arriving in the dark on a cold November evening to a cold cottage with a damp smelling bedroom was not the best start. It does not have central heating which can be controlled within the cottage ( it’s controlled by the owners and only comes on for a short time morning and night ). At this time of year if you don’t work hard at keeping both the open fire and the log burner going you’ll not be cozy. The hot tub has amazing views but has seen better days. Directions need to include “as you climb the field track the cottage is on the left after approx 400 meters” we arrived at 5pm and it was pitch black, the house was not obvious. The hot tub has seen better days. Remove the word luxury, explain the different types of heating, expand the directions and this is a rustic cottage in a stunning location which is good value for money.
