“The accommodation was really well furnished to a high standard throughout and it was a really nice cottage.”
To be as constructive as possible, on arrival we noticed cleaning products left out, no problem we put them away and the ash in the fire was left behind. The front door mat caused a slip as it was on tiled floor and the towel rail was not working in the downstairs bathroom. It felt a little restrictive with the tiniest bottle of washing up liquid( enough for one wash?) and two logs in the basket for the open fire ( walm weather luckily). All this was cosmetic but changed your view of what we felt overall. The cottage did have restricted views of the countyside but this wasn’t offered so nothing we could complain about. However, when we selected ‘Dog friendly’ as a filter we accept the dogs should not go on the beds, which ours don’t, but they sleep in their baskets in the bedroom and we didn’t expect the owners to restrict access to this area as per the local information sheets. This caused some issues with the dogs barking and hopefully we didn’t disturb any other residents. We however were up a few times in the night to reassure the pets all was ok.
