“Fantastic cottage in a lovely setting.”

Fabulous kitchen with all appliances. All clean and plenty of cupboard space. Spacious lounge and great dining table with fabulous views over the moors and countryside. My only comment re the beds that there were no mattress covers on our double beds which was unexpected in such a first class cottage. However that does not affect my 5 stars for a first class and lovely cottage. We watched partridges, grouse and rabbits from the patio window along with the sheep. Walked over the moors and ...

“A very well equipped, clean and beautifully presented property in a wonderfully secluded rural location with lovely views of the Northumbrian countryside.”

Very warm, peaceful and remote, yet in easy reach of beaches restaurants and local heritage sites, this property was just what we were looking for in a holiday cottage. Highly recommended. The 2 mile track from main roads to the property has many potholes which were no problem whatsoever to our 4x4 vehicle but could give a small family car a rough ride.

The cottage was spotless on arrival, there was a personalised welcome pack with local covid-updated information on where we could go for food etc. We especially appreciated a freezer as we ate at home most nights. Showers were powerful, towels fluffy, lovely views. Thank you so much for providing such a great dog friendly cottage.

Hill Farm Cottage, originally a pair of 200-year-old shepherd’s cottages, is now a beautiful traditional stone cottage modernised to the latest standards located in a rural setting with stunning views overlooking the moors of Northumberland.

Benefiting from three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with exception to the bathroom all rooms are south facing with lovely views, this ground floor property makes an ideal base as it is within easy reach of Alnwick and the fabulous beaches of the Northumberland Coast. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground floor) Entrance hall with space for coats and boots. Kitchen with ceramic hob, electric double oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave.

Sharing the panoramic views with the dining area. Lounge/dining room with comfortable seating, feature inglenook fireplace with LG Smart TV with Netflix, (guests to use their own accounts), table and chairs for 6 guests and panoramic views. Bedroom 1 with double bed, dresser and wardrobe.

En suite shower room with shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with double bed, dresser and wardrobe. Bedroom 3 with bunk beds (suitable for adults). Bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC, basin. OTHER FACILITIES Private parking for 2 cars.

Underfloor heating throughout.

Access to a small field directly in front of the cottage which is securely fenced.

The cottage is all-electric and powered by solar panels and a small wind turbine as well as mains, we aim to be carbon neutral.

NORTH CHARLTON

Alnwick 7 miles; Rennington 5 miles.

The small hamlet of North Charlton is an ideal place from which to explore Northumberland. A short drive will take you to Embleton Bay, Low Newton by the Sea and Beadnell Bay, each offering lovely sandy beaches. The ducal market town of Alnwick, with its magnificent Norman Castle, is just 10 minutes away and offers a wide range of amenities. The countryside surrounding North Charlton is extremely picturesque and the Cheviot foothills and National Park are only a short drive away. For golfers, there are challenging Links courses in abundance. A superb base for exploring all the region has to offer.
