“We stayed at the Granary in March this year and we loved it so much that we went back to stay last week, our border collie Bella has a fantastic time on the farm, Alison and John are very friendly and welcoming, and helpful, especially as the weather was the hottest that its been, they gave Bella a paddling pool, which was very well used, in fact Bella spent a vast amount of time in it cooling off, accommodation is clean and tidy, location is ideal for trips to various places, Amble, Cragside, Kielder forest, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindesfarne, even Rothbury itself is lovely, few pubs, restaurants and essentials shops, even had a trip to Edinburgh, which was only 2 hours away.”
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Granary to other guests, yes its a working farm, early morning wake up calls of the cockerals, all the sights and sounds you'd expect from being on a farm, we've had second hand experience of staying there in different weather's, all good though, WiFi is hit and miss but the location contributes to that, we don't go there to be on our phones or ipads though, there is a good selection of books, board games and dvds, but to be honest we are always out and about exploring wonderful Northumberland to be taking advantage of those, I did learn to play chess though in March, this is the perfect property to spend time at for peacefulness and relaxed or busy ventures out if you wish.
