The property

This is an outstanding stone built, country cottage barn conversion which has just been fully renovated.

The cottage is centrally located between Alnwick and Rothbury and is ideally situated for exploring Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and the Scottish Borders, and is surrounded by countryside and fabulous views.This two storey barn conversion has been lovingly renovated and every care has been taken to provide a beautiful holiday home, perfect for the romantic escape, a great walking holiday or a great place to explore Northumberland and the surrounding areas.

Rose Cottage has an open plan living dining kitchen area on the ground floor, with high quality well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher, washer dryer, small fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and induction hob.

Subtle bench lighting creates a lovely ambiance.

The living end of the room has a lovely wood burning stove creating a cosy relaxing atmosphere, a comfy bed settee makes a useful extra bed space for one.

The whole room has been tastefully decorated making a stylish coordinated modern living space with wall mounted TV.

The perfect escape to the country.

There are doors at both ends of the room, one leading to the front court yard, whilst the other opens out in to a lovely rear enclosed garden, with BBQ and lots of fairy lights.

The two allocated parking spaces are to the rear of the rear garden.

Upstairs is a wonderfully stylish bedroom with a super king bed, this designer feeling room is the perfect place to rest.

The window provides countryside views and a Velux allows you to watch the stars at night.

The bathroom is again a newly refurbished room with P shaped bath with shower taps and water fall shower over, a curved glass shower screen surrounds the shower above the bath.

Pedestal hand basin and comfort toilet (higher easier to use) make this a modern comfortable relaxing room.

Rose is a great location for relaxing or exploring or the outdoor adventure enthusiast with great walking, cycling, fishing and shooting nearby.

There are many historical buildings to visit.

Nearby towns and villages are Longframlington, Rothbury, Alnwick, Swarland, The coast is about a twenty minute drive to locations such as Alnmouth.

A pretty, rural village just outside of the Northumberland National Park. It is a village with beautiful countryside and some fantastic examples of history. Edlingham itself dates back to the 8th century, and it boasts a 11th century church as well as the remains of the 12th century Edlingham Castle which you can still visit today. It is a fantastic base for an outdoor holiday, with the 55 mile long Devil's Causeway running up the west side of the village, accompanied by beautiful scenery. Also nearby is Thrunton Wood which you can enjoy. For nearby shops and pubs, Rothbury is just a short drive away and is the perfect example with a delightful range of amenities, a place also with beautiful scenery and historic buildings. If you want a trip to the seaside, Amble is also within easy access
