“The whole property was perfect, the views perfect the be location the privacy perfect.”

Good internet connection was able to work without interruptions. The whole house is immaculate with very good quality furnishings and fittings. The beds are beautiful the heating is fabulous and the luxury of two bathroom s I d live there permanently if I could.

“Rock Lodge is a beautiful property - it’s very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed.”

Its position in Alnmouth is great and the sea view is just gorgeous. It was perfect for our two dogs too. We had a wonderful holiday and we appreciated all the lovely Xmas decorations and the welcome gifts. We would love to stay there again.

“Great property.”

Have stayed many times. Could benefit from some cereal bowls as only pasta and soup bowl’s available. The temperature of the en suite shower is a little cool on maximum, this may be as I like a hot shower. More colour coded chopping boards for meat/fish would also be useful.

Dear Mrs D, Always good to welcome you back - thank you for your suggestions. We have now added cereal bowls to the pasta and soup bowls and have supplied a set of coded chopping boards. With regards to the water temperature; this may have been the occasion that the gas boiler was in need of a minor adjustment, which was done. “Super property in lovely desirable location.”

Well appointed with outstanding views across Alnmouth (Foxton Golf Course) to the sea. This was our second visit to the property and we have already booked for next year. A working vacuum cleaner would be desirable . Currently the hose connection to various vacuum parts in broken, so unnecessarily hard work to leave property as found. Nevertheless, great holiday.

There were a couple of minor maintenance items that the owners may wish to add to their to-do list: 1. Lubricate the locking mechanism of the patio doors - the handle has become very stiff. 2. Replace the small bin in the kitchen - the lid had broken off. Looking forward to returning this summer!

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
