The decor truly made us feel like we were aboard a cozy seaside retreat. “The property could do with some TLC on the wood work.”

Also fewer cushions would be better as there is nowhere to store them! I found the bath with the shower over awkward because of the plug positioned in the centre. Some of the cooking utensils had seen better days. These were little niggles that could not take away from the great position on the prom, beautifull sunrises and a very fleeting visit from Dolphins .

Hi Anna, thanks for your feedback. The bath was selected with plug in the middle so if a couple wished to share a bath there was no one at the plug and tap end. The back bedroom has a built in wardrobe and the bedroom wasn’t being used on your booking so would have hoped that this would have been suitable storage for the cushions that were not required. There are also 2 double built in wardrobes in the front bedroom and a blanket box that could have been used to store items. SeaSnug has her paint refresher booked in for October. I have a renew schedule coming up for any utensils or items that I feel need replacing. Really glad over all you felt these were niggles as overall you enjoyed your stay immensely. Property Owner

What makes Sea snug exceptional is its location. The view from window is as stunning as everyone says. Spittal prom is charming and lovely to stroll along in the evening when even this year the sun seemed to come out. Buses into Berwick leave regularly from 5 minutes walk away. It’s an ideal base to explore the local area or further afield.

The view from the window is fantastic with the sea & sky ever changing. We were lucky to spot some dolphins one day even though weather had been a bit rough & cold. The owner lives quite close & is on hand should there be any problems & is very fast to resolve any issues which is a bonus. We would love to return one day to such a restful place.

“Totally perfect in every way.”

Sea Snug is an amazing holiday flat with the best views. To the front is the Sea and to the rear the railway (a dream place for beach and train fans). Lovely to hear the sea when you wake up and the amazing sunrises (and dolphins). You can hardly hear the trains but brilliant view of them. Comfortable and warm cottage, very clean and everything you need. Ange, the owner, has made the place brilliant, and is on hand if needed. The welcome pack was lovely too. Great walks and not far to other super places. Nice village with lovely little shop, and a great Fish and Chip place in Berwick. Enjoyed morning and evening beach walks. Very quiet with just walkers passing by on the lovely prom. Not sure if the prom shops open later in the year, but there was ice cream and chips one evening down there. Will deffo go back there again.

“Sea Snug is an ideal location for comfortable and relaxing stay.”

It is only about one mile from Berwick centre and a regular bus service takes you there and to supermarkets. You can relax by looking out of the window at the sea- no need for TV. Everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday is here.Ange tries hard to make the holiday as good as it should be. She even arranged for the excellent weather. Looking for third visit-very homely.

“An absolutely wonderful break and the best Sykes property we’ve ever rented.”

The flat was well equipped, clean and comfortable and an ideal base for exploring the area. Ange was kind and helpful, even pointing out a minke whale we were able to see one night. “The property did not have the sought-after off road parking as stated, and I found the rope handrail on the stairs was not helpful to use to go up or down to the flat.”

Saucepans need replacing as they have no nonstick coating left on. We liked the area, but are concerned about the accuracy of the property description. We wouldn't recommend this property to anyone with mobility issues. We love Northumberland and can't wait to visit the area again.

“Nothing short of superb!”

!! loved the fact that you wake up in the morning and look out the window and see the sea weather it’s calm or rolling waves just beautiful, and falling asleep at night to the sound of the waves was magical have not slept so well in years, the property itself was very well maintained had everything we needed and a sea theme carried throughout , on top of all this a welcoming basket was left for our arrival such a kind and thoughtful gesture will definitely come back to the sea snug thank you Angela for everything we had a truly wonderful relaxing time only one complaint we didn’t book it for long enough lol

“A little pearl of a first floor apartment on Lowry’s promenade in Spittal.”

An ocean view offered from the armchair with beautiful views of Berwick. We saw dolphins swimming in the sea and magical sunrises. The owner was helpful in offering tips of where to eat before our trip, and there was a very useful welcome basket on our arrival. Utterly lovely apartment offered a very restful stay. We visited Paxton House, Berwick upon Tweed and Cocklawburn beach. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you.

“Fabulous accommodation .”

It’s like living on the beach for a week -the panoramic picture window in the living room onto the seafront is amazing . This first floor flat is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme running effortlessly from room to room . The front bedroom is very calming allowing you to drift off to sleep with the gentle sound of the sea with thick curtains allowing a holiday lie in !The kitchen was very well equipped with all utensils provided to cook . A wonderful base to explore the beautiful Northumbria coast line ( the Coastal path passes right out side the door ) , historical Berwick upon Tweed and a easy train trip to both Edinburgh and Newcastle . Thanks to Angie for the fabulous welcome hamper and the lemon drizzle cake . Sea Snug provided us with a perfect holiday .

Situated in an elevated position overlooking the North sea is this delightful first-floor apartment, Sea Snug.

Boasting tremendous views and a sought-after off-road parking space, this property is ideal for a small family or two couples looking for a coastal escape, any time of year.

On arrival at the apartment, a private entrance invites you in and leads you straight up to the first-floor dwelling.

On entering the open-plan living space, the chic, sea-themed décor fits with the surrounding seaside charm and compliments the floor-to-ceiling views over the beach and open sea.

Take advantage of the kitchen area and concoct a delicious meal for your loved ones on the electric oven and hob to be enjoyed as a group at the dining table while you plan your next day of adventures; the kitchen also hosts a handy washing machine so you can freshen up your clothes and towels throughout your stay.

Spittal is a fine location for a holiday by the sea with its range of shops and pubs as well as an amusement arcade and a beach widely regarded as one of the nicest in Northumberland. Every year there is a Seaside Festival with fairground rides, food and other entertainment, perfect to tie into your holiday.
