“We had a lovely week in Northumberland despite the rain and Drover's Rest was a warm and comfortable base from which to explore.”
The listing does mention this but be aware that there is no soap and it's worth also bringing cooking oil and salt and extra toilet roll. There was also no tea or coffee, which we found unusual but milk and biscuits were provided. Overall, it's a very solid choice with a friendly host but it lacks some comforts that other cottages provide.
Drovers Rest is a self catering cottage ( the clue is in the title ) and therefore we do not provide groceries. However, a complimentary kitchen roll, two toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bottled water are provided also biscuits..We try to keep our overheads low so that our guests can enjoy an inexpensive stay compared with that of our competitors in this beautiful area.
