Facilities within the accommodation were great and plenty of space. Welcome pack was a lovely surprise and a great touch. Location was perfect for exploring the area with some amazing beaches and towns to explore within an hour away in every direction. Would highly recommended.

Evergreen is genuine 5 star plus, the location, the cleanliness, the homely feel and level of provisions are exemplary. This is not just any old rental, the owners clearly value your stay and genuinely want to facilitate you having a fabulous holiday, from the welcome pack (huge!) and welcoming text, to anything you could possibly need, you’re very, very looked after. The location is a nature lovers dream, peaceful, private and full of wildlife (binoculars provided). We’ve experienced many lodges, never one like this though, this is truly a stunning home in an envious location and first class service. If you’re visiting Northumberland and self catering, stop searching, Evergreen Lodge ticks every single box. 5* Plus

Peter “This was our second visit to Evergreen and we were a little concerned about the suitability of the lodge because we were arriving with a larger party of 5 adults and 2 dogs.”
No worries! The holiday was every bit as good as last time,the lodge was spotless and the welcome pack superb.We had four very frosty mornings but the lodge remained warm and cosy,the central heating was very quick to heat the lodge and was easy to use. Our two dogs love the place and were well catered for with treats and plenty of toys. All in all it was a good break in a great lodge with a good location

Jill “Just stayed in the Evergreen Lodge for 4 days and it's lovely.”
The lodge was immaculate inside and had evey provision supplied, along with lovely welcome pack, and Christmas decorations up. We took our 6 year old granddaughter with us and we took a few board games with us however, there was more than enough board games, colouring pens and books along with Nintendo Switch. We fully enjoyed our stay and will hopefully look at booking again.

Michelle “Lovely lodge, comfy beds and everything you need from cooking to washing up is well equipped.”
Looks onto woodlands and you get to see the rabbits and squirrels close up. Lots to do if you like board games or play the Wii U. The only thing I can complain about is the welcome pack, after seeing the pictures and other peoples review of it. All we got was the coffee, sugar sachets and coffee pods.

Linda “Evergreen Lodge was fantastic, all needs are thought of - comfy beds, lovely bedding, fully equiped kitchen, good parking and a very nice welcome package.”
The only downer (which the owners can do nothing about) is the 14 harsh speed bumps on the site and the water supply when other lodges are having their hot tubs refilled.

Lisa “Fantastic week away in this fabulous lodge, perfectly situated to explore Northumberland.”
The lodge was exceptionally well equipped and the owners had thought of everything, from kitchen gadgets to hairdryers, the selection of games and DVD’s for all was brilliant, it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, having a garden was a bonus, watching the wildlife while sitting at one of several seating areas was lovely. The welcome pack filled with treats and a few essentials was a lovely little extra, we would highly recommend !

Debbie “I took my daughter and three grandchildren away for a short break and we had a lovely time!”
From the easy to follow directions, to the lovely welcome package in the beautiful lodge that was like a home from home. Very thoughtful decor and lots of useful little messages. The information book was very useful too. The children enjoyed watering the plants and made good use of the bats and balls in the beautiful garden area. We enjoyed walking to the lakes and had a lovely meal in the bar on the site. Maybe a little shop with some essentials like dishwasher tablets and bin bags etc might have been useful on the site? Maybe next to or part of the bar? But we had an excellent stay and will definitely be back!

Peter “The lodge was perfect,in a great position set back from the road in leafy surroundings.”
It was in immaculate condition and spotless and the welcome pack was a real surprise,it was more like a Harrods hamper.Our dogs were very happy with their cupboard of goodies and overall the break was excellent,the Lodge being a large part of our enjoyment.Would I book again? Certainly!

Lodge beautiful, everything you would need. Like a home from home. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Loved the wildlife from ducks , swans rabbits to deer. Very pleasant. Ideal place to visit other areas of interest. e.g. Druridge bay park and beach, Seahouses, Amble And Bamburgh . We visited the Zoo 3mins drive from the Lodge , would definitely recommend a visit. Weather wasn't very good but we made the most of our break. Gracie our Golden Retriever loved sitting on the decking . Hope to visit again Thank-you again. X

Christine “Fabulous holiday at Evergreen Lodge.”
Spotless clean, comfortable living area with views out onto the lawn and woodland area where there is an abundance of wildlife to watch. Look out for the hare! We were greeted with a huge welcome pack which was a lovely surprise, lots of goodies and a bottle of fizz! Kitchen has everything you need if you want to stay in and cook, which we did on a couple of nights. Wonderful lodge, wonderful site. We will definitely be back. 10 out of 10 Evergreen Lodge!

Joanne “Lovely holiday home with a fabulous welcome pack.”
Well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen including toddler bowls, cutlery and an assortment of electrical appliances including an air fryer and coffee machine. The only problem we encountered was occasionally the showers would fail to get warm, possibly due to low water pressure on site. It wasn't a problem only using one shower at a time however even with 5 of us in the group.

Lee “The location is good , pathway to property was slippery and bird mess all over the path , in the property there were dog hair still on furniture and carpets so I decided to vacuum the vacuum was full so and did not suck up so I cleaned it, and vacuumed up, the kettle was full of scale so I went to buy a new one , the back bedroom smells badly of damp, during the weekend there were no maintenance me on site so the bins became over full and bags of dog poo were left all over the grass at several bins, seems the site as detirated over the past year.”

As you will see from previous feedback we have always sought to ensure our guests enjoy their stays with us. Please accept our sincere apologies. We did contact you twice by text at the start of your holiday and at the end. We would have appreciated it if you had let us know your concerns ASAP so that we could have acted immediately to try and rectify things. We are sorry to hear about the path. Whilst every effort is made to keep it clean, we are situated on a wooded country park. There are lots of geese and swans which live on the lake (and other wildlife), close to the lodge. They regularly wander around the park and quite often through our garden. Unfortunately they can poo at any point, after cleaning, during your stay etc. Whilst we are a pet friendly lodge, the pet hair on carpets and furniture as described by you is unacceptable. We have taken this up with our cleaning team to ensure this doesn’t happen again. The same with the vacuum which shouldn’t have been left full and should have been put away. We are located in a hard water area so limescale is a constant battle but the kettle should have been clean on arrival. We were in the lodge the day after you left but didn’t smell any damp. We will continue to make our usual inspections. Finally the general upkeep of the park. This again is very disappointing and we will be feeding this back to the park manager. Once again please accept our sincere apologies. Our business relies solely on our guests enjoying their stay and providing us with great feedback so we are very disappointed we haven’t met your expectations this time. All the best. Property Owner

Anne “Beautiful lodge in a lovely location.”
We immediately felt at home, as did our two dogs. It is like a country cottage inside, and the owners have provided everything you can think of, plus lots more. Everyone mentions the welcome basket- it is amazing. Dogs quickly found the doggy treat cupboard, a lovely touch. The park itself is beautiful. We enjoyed seeing loads of wildlife, including deer, rabbits, hedgehogs, squirrels, heron and of course, the water fowl. Slightly disappointed in the Crazy Horse pub - no food being served, early closing or just not opening at all. However, we quickly found the Timeout Tavern in the neighbouring park. Very friendly welcome and just a five minute walk from the lodge. Brilliant holiday. We hope to visit again.

Phillipa “Beautiful lodge, very well equipped with everything you need and more.”
Very tastefully decorated with lots of beautiful ornaments. I loved sitting on the decking watching all the wildlife especially the squirrels! My dogs loved their little treat cupboard in the kitchen which was a lovely touch. Also the welcome pack was amazing and very generous, we enjoyed the fizz and all the goodies in there

Mr John Mountford “After a disaster start when arriving at Jalan end to find the shower glass was shattered and a notice telling us to use the one other bathroom .”
We complained and Sykes were able to move us to this property . We were met there by the owners who had at short notice got it ready for us . They gave us a very warm welcome and could not have been more helpful , so thank you to them and also Sykes who sorted it out for us . The Chalet was perfect and the woodland at the rear was a real bonus , we saw pheasants rabbits squirells doves and geese , all in all a perfect place to stay and I heartily recommend it

Wow Wow Wow What a fabulous place to stay Evergreen is The lodge is exactly as it looks on the photos and is spotlessly clean with every amenity you would need for your stay and more The lodge is on a quiet spot on the site and backs onto a little wooded area that our 4 year old grandson loved Carol is a fantastic host giving us a little welcome call to ensure we arrived ok and to see if we required any assistance with anything The welcome pack was amazing and very appreciated Great places to visit and eat in the area the Northumberland Arms and Running Fox in Felton ( 5 mins in car) were a delight with fantastic food Also spent a couple of nights in the on-site bar which sold great pizzas We can’t wait to return to Evergreen such a lovely relaxing place Steve & Kath

Would have given 5 stars but the TV in the on-suite bedroom doesn't work (my second stay in this lodge, as I was here a year ago and this was the same first time round). Personally I would remove this TV then people wont get disappointed when it doesn't pick up the signal. TVs in the other rooms do work, freeview only.

The lodge was well equipped and spotless. The owners left some essential items and a lovely welcome gift which was a nice surprise. It is in a good area for travelling around the beautiful Northumberland countryside which has some great places to visit, including beaches and the lovely Kielder forest and lake. We would certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

The delightful village of Felton is set in rural Northumberland, between Morpeth to the south and Alnwick to the north. The village has a shop with a post office, coffee shop, pub and restaurant, and is just 10 miles from Alnwick, with its Castle and now famous Garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the "Harry Potter" films!
