“This is a lovely cottage.”
The living room is small but very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is very roomy with ample space for a large dining table and 4 chairs and is extremely well equipped with everything you need for your stay. There is a large walk-in cupboard off the kitchen which is great for storage. The bedrooms, although slightly on the small side, are tastefully decorated with plenty of drawer and hanging space and extremely comfortable beds! The property was spotlessly clean throughout. The living room is small but very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is very roomy with ample space for a large dining table and 4 chairs and is extremely well equipped with everything you need for your stay. There is a large walk-in cupboard off the kitchen which is great for storage. The bedrooms, although slightly on the small side, are tastefully decorated with plenty of drawer and hanging space and extremely comfortable beds! The property was spotlessly clean throughout. The cottage is in a residential side street and has no pretty views, but the location is quiet and ideal for accessing local shops, cafes and restaurants which are only a few minutes' walk away. There is no outdoor space to speak of, with a tiny garden on the street and no garden at the back. The parking space at the rear is in a narrow lane which can be tricky to negotiate depending on how neighbours have parked. I stayed at Kittiwake for 3 nights with 2 friends walking the coastal path. Seahouses was an ideal base and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, hob, integrated oven and microwave, fridge freezer, coffee machine, dining table with 4 chairs and pantry cupboard. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with king sized bed, wardrobe, and drawers. Bedroom 2 with twin beds, wardrobe and drawers. Family bathroom with shower over bath, basin, WC and heated towel rail. A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
