    Greta for access to a the facilities in Seahouses with 2 beaches in walking distance and also lots of others a short drive away. Great encased garden for the dog which is important. We are staying again in March next year and looking forward to it. The only thing I would change would be the benches at the kitchen table were very awkward to move and sit at with 2 people and would have been even more difficult with 6. I think chairs would be more practical and comfortable.

    Glad that you had a nice stay and that you have booked again for next year. We would agree with you about the benches. They came with the house. However we are hoping to change one of them at some point for chairs. We find pulling it away from the wall helps when we have 6 round it. Property Owner

Seahouses itself is within a few minutes which boasts a good selection of shops and eateries.The village of Bamburgh is well worth a visit too, famous for its imposing castle but which also has a good selection of shops and amenities. Close by there are miles of sandy beaches to explore and further afield there are magnificent castles to discover such as Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Lindisfarne and Alnwick.

A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
