“We had an absolutely fantastic weekend in beadnell, plan was to not do too much (as we normally do ,but just chill )we normally see beadnell as the poor relation to Bamburgh , but we never moved the car once ,were lucky with the weather ,walks and football on the beach , really great meals at the landing - saturday , beadnell tower s sunday- both highly recomended , all walked to from the door , cosy nights in watching dvds ,the location of the cottage great , size of the cottage fine , the outside space would be great in the summer im sure .”
however we felt the cottage needs some love , care and attention to improve the overall experience, looked better in photos than reality , living room fine , kitchen fine , found it a bit grubby in places though /worn , bathroom had mold(no extractor / not great shower ) , paint coming off walls , tired mirror, grubby walls/ door / paintwork , all the windows in property were very dodgy, bedroom furniture a bit old fashioned , it looks like they try to keep it clean , but some thing s are just old and dated, like the tap in the kitchen , dvd player , hifi system , washer / dishwasher from another era.
this was by no means the worst cottage weve stayed at, love this area , had a great time , will return , location makes it a real winner , we had a great time no doubt about that , im sure the cottage is booked up pretty much all the time , just needs a bit of money and love throwing at the fixtures / fittings / paintwork to improve the overall feel of it .
Thank you for your comments, we have taken on board your remarks: our cottage is well booked and by end of season has taken some knocks wear and tear, the bedrooms were due full refurb early this year but due to illness was rescheduled to end of season, that is underway. With regard to equipment we provide a Bluetooth speaker and Cast TV for the technos but those who like traditional equipment it’s there. The utility is perfectly serviceable. I am pleased you enjoyed Beadnell, we love it too.
