The property

Situated in the delightful town of Wooler in Northumberland, is this lovely terrace cottage, 31 Peth Head, set over three floors in this pretty row of traditional stone built cottages.

It is wonderfully suited to a family or couples, with its three floors of carefully decorated rooms and use of original features such as wooden beams.

The property journey begins in the open-plan living space, with your eyes immediately darting to the striking teal sofas set around the electric fire and TV, a perfect place to spend a rainy evening, being warmed in front of the fire.

Behind this is the dining table for four so you can share a meal with the family, cooked up in the pretty light and bright kitchen containing all the essential appliances you need, cleverly maximising the under-stair space.

At the top of the stairs on the first-floor is a handy cloakroom containing a WC, just across from the twin room which has storage space and a walk in wardrobe, a TV and a window with views out to the village and hills beyond, and benefiting from a vanity unit with basin and mirror in the corner, the understairs cupbaord on the first floor houses drying facilities.

Continue up to the second floor when it's time to get some shut-eye and find the beautiful and spacious master bedroom, complete with floral curtains and matching cushions, along with solid wood furniture in-keeping with the property's vintage style, with an en-suite bathroom adjoining the room.

To the outside at the front of the house is a patio area with table and chairs, where you can sit out on a sunny evening for some alfresco dining.

The town of Wooler is a great base location for keen walkers who are looking to make the most of the Northumberland countryside, and wanting to visit the Glendale, Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park for some fantastic walking and stunning scenery and views.

To the east is the magnificent coastline of Northumberland which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with great trips to be had to Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Seahouses harbour, or the birdwatcher's paradise of The Farne Islands.

Whatever your reason for visiting this northern part of England, you will love coming home to 31 Peth Head every evening.

About the location

WOOLER

Berwick-upon-Tweed 16 miles; Bamburgh 15 miles; Alnwick 18 miles.

Wooler is a delightful, historic market town on the banks of the River Till, one of the tributaries of the Tweed, nestling in the foothills of the Cheviots which form part of the Pennine Way. Known locally as 'The Gateway to The Cheviots', Wooler has a selection of hotels and eating places and offers a magnificent location for exploring the whole of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, Wooler is just a short drive away from the historic town of Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens, and the well preserved Garrison town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Chillingham Castle with its ancient herd of wild white cattle and Coldstream, just over the Scottish border, are also a short drive away.
